Lithuanian Defense company Granta Autonomy announced a new model of loitering munition called the X-Wing. They said that the drone was tested this spring and has been delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for additional testing in real-world use. They expect to produce "several hundred" drones per month, starting at the beginning of 2026. The X-Wing is capable of vertical takeoff or landing, it has a range of 50km, it is designed to strike either soft or hard targets and radar, it should only cost about €10,000, has a daytime and thermal camera produced by Granta, it can operate in GNSS denied environments, has a fragmentation warhead, and the guidance system incorporates AI.
